An accident involving two semi tractor-trailers shut down the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 at the Red River Bridge Thursday morning. The road has reopened.
The accident happened around 1 a.m. in Cooke County, Texas just before the bridge, but slid onto the bridge in Love County, Okla. The Semi hauling cattle crashes at Red River.
One of the 18-wheelers involved was carrying cattle. Several cattle died in the crash stated The Oklahoma Highway Patrol; others were loose on the roadway.

A 51-year-old woman was killed after she was hit by an 18-wheeler Sunday night while she was pulled off to the shoulder of I-35.
DPS Trooper D.L. Wilson says the wreck happened just after 9:45 p.m. after Maria Alonzo, of Wills Point, pulled her 1991 GMC pickup, which was pulling a homemade trailer, to the shoulder of I-35 near Carl's Corner.
She got out of the truck and was walking to the front of the vehicle, when trooper Wilson reports an 18-wheeler drifted onto the improved shoulder and hit Alonzo, killing her instantly.
