Propane Truck Explodes, Man Dies, Brownfield

One person is confirmed dead after a propane truck explodes Thursday morning in Brownfield, Texas Department of Public Safety Officers said. Robert Clifford Melvin, 58, of Lubbock died from his injuries. At 7:30 a.m., a collision between two semi tractor-trailers causes an explosion. The crash was just inside the city limits of Brownfield on U.S. 62/82 just north of town. Both trucks were completely engulfed in flames. An Alabama driver was headed southbound, got caught in the blast of the explosion and was taken to Lubbock for medical treatment. Semi hauling cattle crashes at Red River Bridge on I-35 northbound

An accident involving two semi tractor-trailers shut down the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 at the Red River Bridge Thursday morning. The road has reopened. The accident happened around 1 a.m. in Cooke County, Texas just before the bridge, but slid onto the bridge in Love County, Okla.  The Semi hauling cattle crashes at Red River.
